About this tool
Counting days between two dates accurately by hand is easy to get wrong — leap years, varying month lengths, and the question of whether to count the start date, end date, or both all add complications. This calculator handles all of that automatically. It gives you the total number of calendar days between any two dates, and also counts only working days (Monday to Friday), which is essential for calculating statutory notice periods, payment terms, project deadlines, and contractual durations. Please note that the working-days count does not currently exclude UK bank holidays; if those are relevant to your calculation, you will need to subtract them manually.
